Since this last week there have been growing security
concerns, but the long-term personnel are not worried and life continues as
normal for the most part. In the midst
of it, the Father continues to faithfully provide opportunities to share! I’m surprised how easily and quickly we are
able to get into deep sp conversations.
I’m also very surprised to find Universalists (people who believe all
faiths are going to heaven) here in a land that is known for strict belief.
We have had several opportunities to hang out with the
couple that I mentioned last week, Naomi and Levi. One of those opportunities was for Levi’s
birthday on Saturday. They invited us to
his parent’s house for a party. His
parents are kind and fun. His father was
a doctor for the army and his mother was a teacher, both of which are very
respected professions here, but still when we asked them to teach us K-ish
etiquette, they said, “We are village people.
You are free here!” We danced,
ate about seven different desserts, and then went outside to sit on the porch. I don’t remember how we led into sp topics,
but conversation between me and Levi’s father continued for over an
hour. I got an opportunity to clearly
share the Good News. Levi was
listening closely, but he seemed to pay even closer attention during that
part. Levi is a Universalist, but
his father believes that faith only causes conflicts and he even pointed to sad
periods in our faith history of violence.
I shared many things with him, but he was resolute in his belief. At the end of the night we gave Levi portions
of the Book in his language as a birthday present. He had said several times, in reference to
history and faith, that you must read from both points of view to decide what
is true. Please ask that He reads the
Book and understands the Good News. Please
also ask that Levi’s father sees through our love for him that true
faith does not cause hate, and ask that the Father gives him dreams and visions
of His Son.

We plan on invited all three of the women in our adult
English class over for pizza on Wednesday.
Please ask that we are able to form friendships and talk about eternal
things.
The teacher who we are living with will be leaving for one
month in America at the end of the week.
Please ask that she has safe travels and good visits with friends and
family. Also, ask that we are able to
navigate K culture and language without her.
